I shadowed a vet tech for one day in Nashville and bailed on my accounting job two weeks later
I was sitting in a Nashville conference room doing quarterly numbers when my cousin asked me to shadow her at a animal clinic for just one day. By 10am I was holding a nervous beagle while she cleaned a wound, and I realized I had not felt that awake in years at my desk. Two weeks later I gave notice on a Friday and signed up for a vet assistant class that cost $1,800. Now I make less money but I do not dread Mondays. Has anyone else made a jump like this and did the pay cut ever stop bugging you?
