My old manager in Seattle gave me feedback I still think about daily

He pulled me aside after a big client call last April and said I kept over-explaining every choice, like I needed permission. At first I was annoyed, but then I watched myself in the next few meetings and he was right, I was drowning my points in 5 extra sentences. So I started writing down my main point first and cutting every third word before I spoke. Six months into my new job as a project coordinator, that one tip still gets me through every status update. Has anyone else gotten feedback that was hard to hear but actually fixed a blind spot you didn’t know you had?
