TIL only 1 in 5 people who switch careers actually go back to school for it
I was reading a BLS report at lunch that said just 20 percent of career switchers get a degree or cert first, and most of the rest just learn on the job. Here I am stressing about whether I need to drop $4,000 on a night class before I even apply anywhere, and apparently nobody else is doing that. So do hiring managers actually care about the paper, or is that just something we tell ourselves?
