TIL picking the pay cut at the smaller shop over the title bump at the big one worked out
When I left my warehouse lead job in Columbus, I had two offers: $19 an hour as a shift supervisor at a big distributor, or $17 as a plain associate at a 12-person cabinet shop. I went with the smaller shop because I'd actually touch the tools instead of just doing schedules, and eight months in I'm running the CNC and making $21. Anyone else pick the smaller place over the fancier title and regret it?
