My crew's framing speed doubled after we switched to cordless nailers in Phoenix

We were still using pneumatic guns and dragging hoses around until about 8 months ago. The boss finally bought a set of battery-powered framing nailers, and now we're finishing walls in half the time because nobody is tripping over air lines or waiting for the compressor. Are cordless tools really worth the upfront cost for a small crew, or do they just die when you need them most?

Honestly, the battery life thing is overblown now. My old cordless drill from five years ago was junk, but the new ones last all day on a charge. I just make sure to have two batteries for my circular saw so one is always ready to go.

Totally agree with you @victorw95! My newer drill batteries seem to last forever compared to the old ones that died after twenty minutes. I keep a spare charged for my impact driver too, and that system never lets me down mid-project. The tech has definitely come a long way in just a few years.

My old Ryobi batteries used to quit halfway through building a deck. Now with the newer lithium ones, I can run my drill and driver all weekend on a single charge. It's a total game changer for actually finishing projects without that annoying wait. I still keep a spare charged up for the saw, but I rarely need to swap it.
