Carpet seam rolling on tight loops made me a believer

I always thought power stretching was enough for seams on Berber carpet. Then I tried a heavy seam roller on a job in Phoenix last month and the seam practically disappeared. Anyone else skip this step and regret it?

seam practically disappeared" is the exact right way to put it. I skipped the roller on a loop pile job once and had to come back a week later to fix a ridge that kept popping up. The heat and dry air here in Vegas really messes with how seams settle, especially on those tight loops. A power stretcher gets it close but the roller pushes the yarns down flat and blends them in a way you just can't fake. Took me way too long to figure that out.

'seam practically disappeared' is exactly right, that roller pushes loops down tighter than a power stretcher ever will.
