Hot take: hitting 500 yards of carpet in one day isn't that impressive

I keep seeing guys brag about doing 500 yards in a single shift working solo. I hit 510 last Tuesday on a job in Denver and honestly I felt like the quality tanked after around 350. My seams got sloppy around the 400 mark and I had to redo a hallway because I rushed the power stretch. Anyone else think these big number claims skip over how much touch up work you end up doing later?

Whoa, wait, you actually had to redo a hallway because you rushed? That's wild man, I've never heard someone admit that in a brag post before. Honestly that makes me wonder if half the guys claiming 500+ are just leaving a trail of garbage behind them that someone else has to fix later.
