Just realized I stretched carpet with a power stretcher for 11 years before switching to a knee kicker on stairs
For over a decade I muscled every staircase with a power stretcher and a whole mess of extension tubes, and my shoulders paid for it every Friday. About 8 months ago another installer in Tulsa showed me he just uses a knee kicker with a stair tool and a few well-placed staples, and the job actually looks tighter with way less cussing. Am I the only one who was making stairs way harder than they needed to be, or does the knee kicker leave you worried about it popping loose down the road?
