Shoutout to that $400 moisture meter I bought after a basement job went wrong

It caught a damp slab a client swore was dry, which saved me from having to replace a whole glue-down install six months later, has anyone else had a tool pay for itself that fast?

Honestly, that reminds me of buying a cheap thermal camera on a whim. It found a hot water line leak inside a wall before the drywall went up, which was a total fluke. That little gadget has more than earned its keep.

Ever have a tool that just randomly pays for itself? My stud finder turned out to detect live wires, saved me from drilling into something real bad.

My buddy's laser level saved a whole tile job from being crooked last week.
