Talked to a commercial installer who swore by power stretchers for residential work

Ran into a guy named Dave at a supply house who does huge office buildings, and he told me he uses his power stretcher even for small bedrooms because it saves his knees over time. Anyone else here made that switch from knee kickers on regular house jobs?

Man, that's funny you mention Dave because it's kind of like how my dad switched from a regular hammer to a finish nailer for hanging pictures. He said it was just easier on his wrists and he could do it in his sleep. I guess once you get used to a tool that saves your body, you don't really go back to the old way, even if it's technically overkill. It's like using a pressure washer for a dirty car instead of a bucket and sponge. You just get the job done faster and your back doesn't yell at you the next day.
