A guy at the Riverside meet said he pays $40 for a parking spot just to show his car, and I can't tell if that's genius or a scam
I was at the Riverside Cars and Coffee last Saturday and overheard two guys arguing about the $40 fee for the premium parking row right by the coffee shop entrance. One said it's worth it because you get way more foot traffic and people actually stop to look at your build, while the other said it's a total rip off and the free lot in the back gets the same crowd anyway. I'm torn because I've paid the $40 twice now and honestly my car got more attention in the back lot where people walk by on their way in. But I also saw a guy in a clean '68 Camaro pay for the front spot and he had a crowd around him all morning. I think the real issue is that the front row fills up by 7:15am and if you show up at 8 you're stuck in the back no matter what you paid. So is the $40 worth it for the early birds or is it just a tax on people who like to sleep in? What's the parking setup at your local meet and do you think paying for a spot actually gets your ride seen?
