Drove 3 hours to a meet in Santa Fe, turned out the real show was the drive itself
I was positive the whole meet scene was just show offs and burnt coffee, but a buddy convinced me to roll out to this spot near the old plaza last Sunday. The parking lot was lackluster, but the canyon roads getting there with 20 other cars, everyone pacing together and waving at pull offs, felt way better than any static display I've seen. Anyone else find the journey beats the destination when it comes to meets, or am I just getting old and sentimental?
