Found a $900 1999 Civic with a blown head gasket, 6 months later it's my daily driver
Saw this old Civic parked behind a garage with a for sale sign, guy wanted 900 bucks. Took a gamble, spent about 400 on parts and a weekend with my buddy swapping the gasket and doing the timing belt. It had 180k miles but the body was clean and the AC even worked. Runs like a dream now, I've put 8k miles on it since March. Anyone else have a cheap fix that turned into a solid daily driver?

That's a solid score for 900 bucks. Always nice when a cheap gamble actually pays off like that.
