My $700 Civic looked totaled 8 months ago, passed inspection last Tuesday
Bought a 1999 Civic off a guy in his driveway for $700. It was rough. Dented fender, CEL on, and the clutch slipped so bad I had to rev it just to move. I did not touch it for the first month, just stared at it in my parking spot. Then I started small, $40 for a used fender at the pick and pull, $60 for a clutch kit online, $25 for a code reader. Eight months of weekends later, it passed state inspection last Tuesday with zero fails. Took it on the highway and it held 70 the whole way. Now I want to know, what is the cheapest car you ever brought back from the dead?
