PSA: Started using a $20 infrared thermometer to check brake rotors before buying a $2500 beater
Found a warped rotor on a 2004 Corolla I was about to hand over $2200 for in Austin last weekend, just by pointing it at each wheel after a test drive and seeing one read 180 degrees hotter. Anyone else use heat guns on their pre-buy checks, or am I overthinking it?
