My 2013 Focus left me stranded twice in one week because Ford hid the TCM behind the bumper
Monday it died at a light in Riverside and Friday it did the same thing on the 91, all because of a transmission control module that Ford buried behind the front bumper where every rock and puddle can get at it, has anyone else had their DCT crap out on them like this?
Man, it's not just rocks and puddles, that spot behind the bumper is basically a heat trap, so the TCM cooks itself even on dry days. Ford probably moved it there to save a few bucks on wiring, and we're the ones paying for it at the shop.
