Had a guy at the junkyard tell me I was wrong about old Honda transmissions
Pulled a transmission from a 95 Civic at Pick-n-Pull last Saturday and some older fella said I should grab the 94 model instead because the synchros last longer. He showed me his 92 Del Sol that's still shifting smooth at 280k miles and now I'm second guessing my whole build plan. Anybody else run into random strangers that turned out to be right about this stuff?

Did the 94 actually have different synchro materials or is that just old-timer luck?

@miab16 - old-timer luck or not, I'd trust a guy with a 280k Del Sol before my own brain most days lol.
