Vent: my neighbor told me to quit cranking the impact gun on my rusty Corolla and I'm still salty about it
I was fighting the strut bolts on my $700 Corolla for two days in the driveway, rounding them off one by one, until my neighbor across the street walked over and told me to soak them in PB Blaster and use a breaker bar instead of hammering them with the gun. Hated hearing it but he was right, they came loose in 10 minutes. What's the one piece of advice you got that stung but actually worked?
Had a guy at the auto parts store watch me buy my third can of starting fluid and just go "you know that's why your carb's gummed up, right?" Felt like a total idiot but he saved me a rebuild. Sometimes the guy who's been there a hundred times knows the shortcut and we're too stubborn to hear it.
