Noticed a big shift in my spending after switching to cash for groceries
Honestly, for the first two months of this year, my weekly grocery bill in Austin was always around $130. I started using only cash for it in March. Tbh, last week I walked out with a full cart for $87. I think seeing the money leave my hand makes me skip the extra snacks and fancy cheese. Has anyone else seen their grocery costs drop like this after going cash only?

Ngl, I did the same thing for my gas station runs. Grabbing a drink and a snack every time was adding like forty bucks a month. Now I keep a twenty in my car for gas only and it totally stopped those little buys.

Totally get that. Switched to cash for my weekly shop last fall and it was a game changer. My bill went from like a hundred bucks to maybe seventy, just by putting back the random chips and fancy drinks I didn't really need. Something about handing over the bills makes you second-guess every little add-on.
