That $400 copper pan set was a total waste, anyone else fall for the hype?
I dropped $400 on a fancy copper pan set last spring after reading all the chef forums raving about heat control. Took them home to Austin, cooked maybe 8 times, and they tarnished so bad I spent more time polishing than actually using them. Meanwhile my old cast iron skillet from a garage sale still handles everything better and I never worry about ruining it. So is copper really worth the upkeep, or are we all just chasing Instagram food pics? Has anyone found a way to keep them looking decent without a ton of work, or should I just sell them for scrap?
