Bought a cheap rotary drill for cleaning out flues and it broke after two jobs
Spent $120 on a 'heavy duty' model from a discount tool site, and the motor burned out trying to clear a standard creosote plug. Now I'm out the cash and had to rush to buy a real one for a job this morning. Anyone know a good brand that can actually handle this work?

Is a rotary drill even the right tool for that job? I've seen guys use those heavy duty flex shafts with brush heads made for flues. A regular drill seems like it's gonna get wrecked fast from the heat and gunk, even a good one. Maybe the tool itself was fine but just not built for what you were doing.

Yeah, those flex shaft tools are built for it, but what do you do when the flue is totally packed solid?
