DAE think a shop vac on a 30 foot roof is a bad idea after what I saw in Tulsa
Was doing a sweep on a two story in Tulsa last Tuesday and watched the homeowner drag his shop vac up a ladder to suck out his own flue. He had no brush, no rods, just the hose, and he dumped about two cups of soot all over his wife's flower bed when the wind caught it. I knocked on his door and gave him my card, but it got me thinking about how many folks out there are doing this alone. What's the craziest homemade setup you've seen a homeowner try before they finally called you?
