Pro tip: I just cleaned my 500th flue liner and realized I've been using the wrong brush size for years.

I was getting way more creosote dust on my drop cloths until I switched from a 10-inch to an 8-inch brush for those older, slightly oval clay tiles, so what's your go-to brush for a liner that's not perfectly round?

Always thought you had to match the brush to the listed liner size exactly. Then I hit one of those old, warped clay liners that just would not let go of the brush. Switched to a smaller, more flexible brush and it was like night and day. Now I keep a couple sizes in the truck just for those tricky ones. The right tool makes all the difference.

Oh man, my buddy learned that the hard way. He fought a weird oval liner for an hour before grabbing a smaller brush and it just slid right through.
