Hot take: The whole cancel culture thing around that artist who used AI art in their music video was way overblown

Right, the "killed traditional animation" thing really got to me. She had a three hundred dollar budget and people acted like she burned down a studio. It's rough watching small creators get piled on for using whatever tools they can scrape together just to get their work out there.

Finally got past page 47 on that garden bench plan I started in April

It's funny how we dive that deep into the little stuff but skim through the big life decisions. Makes you wonder why we treat projects and people so differently sometimes.

Had to pick between finishing Ozark or watching a new show and I made the wrong call

Isn't it funny how we do that with all kinds of stuff, like putting off the last few bites of a good meal or avoiding the final chapter in a book? It's like our brains just hit pause when something good is about to end.

The $12 moisture meter my neighbor swore by saved my drywall job

Totally agree those cheap pin meters are basically a coin flip. They tell you the top layer is dry but the core can still be soaked, which is exactly how you end up with warped floors a month later. The pinless ones at least give you a better picture because they read deeper without poking holes everywhere. Plus, waiting a few extra days is free, so it's weird when people rush to get wood down just to save a day or two. Patience and a halfway decent tool beat a cheap fix every time.

Tried those cheap SSD deals from that weird site, thought they'd be fake

oh snap i read about this somewhere! there's actually a whole subreddit dedicated to gambling on sketchy storage, people call it the "aliexpress SSD lottery" or something. apparently some of those smaller chinese manufacturers are dumping legit nand chips in plain packaging just to move product fast. i think they're using overstock from samsung and hynix factories. but man you got lucky, most of those $45 2TB drives end up being microsd cards taped inside a heatsink lol
