Spent $200 on a wood kiln that never got hot enough, is fixing it even worth it?
I bought a secondhand kiln from a guy in Eugene last spring and it topped out at 1800 degrees, way short of what I needed for my pottery. I've already put $60 into new elements and a thermometer, but I'm torn between sinking more money in or just selling it for parts. Has anyone else salvaged a project like this, or did you cut your losses and start fresh?
