Just realized my 'keep everything' fridge habit is why I threw out $60 of food last month
I used to cram every leftover in there because tossing food felt wasteful, but a buddy who works at a grocery deli pointed out that a packed fridge blocks cold air and stuff in the back goes bad faster. So last month I pulled everything out, found a half-full jar of pesto from March and chicken thighs I couldn't date, and tossed about $60 worth. Now I leave a gap on each shelf and keep older stuff up front where I can see it, and my waste is way down. Curious if anyone else had to learn this the hard way.
