My mom said the crisper drawer was for vegetables, turns out it was just where my zucchini went to die
My mom told me years ago that the crisper drawer keeps produce fresh longer, so I kept cramming zucchini and peppers in there like it was some magic box. I cleaned it out yesterday and found a zucchini from who knows when that had turned into a shriveled brown stick, plus a bag of grapes that looked like raisins. Does anyone actually use their crisper for veggies or is it just a graveyard like mine?

Did you check if the little humidity slider thing on your crisper was set right? In my experience those vents actually matter, if it's closed all the way everything sweats and rots, and if it's open stuff just dries out into jerky. Half the time the drawer isn't the problem, it's that we treat it like a pantry and forget stuff back there for three months.
