A whole week without plastic bags - it actually worked pretty well
I told myself I'd go 7 days without using a single plastic bag for anything. Day 3 I almost caved at the grocery store but used my backpack instead. Anyone else tried a short challenge like this and stuck with it?

Does swapping a few bags for a week really make that much of a dent? I mean, it's fine if you want to do it, but I don't get treating it like some big moral victory.

Fair question but look at it the other way. If a million people swapped just one bag for a week, that's a million bags not wasted. Tiny actions scale up fast when lots of people do them. It's not about a moral victory, it's about building a habit. You okay with single-use plastic piling up forever just because we didn't want to feel self-righteous?
