Finally got my neighbor on board with composting after 2 years of trying

I've been pushing composting since last spring and she kept saying it was too gross. Last week I showed her my countertop bin with a charcoal filter and she actually said 'ok I'll try it.' Has anyone else had luck winning over the hesitant people in their building?

The charcoal filter thing is honestly the game changer, I think that's what finally got my downstairs neighbor to try it too. I also started leaving a little scoop of finished compost on her doorstep with a note saying "see, no smell" which was kind of weird but it worked. Maybe try showing her how easy it is to just dump it in a bag in the freezer if she's worried about fruit flies. Once people see it doesn't actually attract bugs they usually relax about it.

Took me 3 years to convince my mom, but now she’s the one reminding me to turn the pile.
