Got my first compost bin working after 2 months of failure

I started a backyard compost in April in Austin. It was just a slimy mess until I added more brown leaves last week. Anyone else struggle with the green-to-brown ratio at first?

Fix the moisture too, Austin's dry air probably messing with your pile.

Is it really even worth fighting with frizz if your humidity levels are off though? @emma_burns96 you're spot on about the dry air, I had the exact same issue when I moved to Denver. Picked up a cheap humidifier for about $30 and ran it in my bedroom at 40-45% humidity, made a world of difference in how my hair laid down. Also grabbed a misting spray bottle and would spritz my hair with water mixed with a little leave-in conditioner before bed, cut the static flyaways down like crazy.
