I used to think my old car was fine until a mechanic in Toledo mentioned its emissions

He showed me the test results and I saw how much worse it was than a newer model. Has anyone else had a similar wake-up call about an older vehicle?

Honestly wonder how much that really matters in the grand scheme. My old truck runs fine and passes its checks, so I keep driving it. Feels like sometimes they make a bigger deal out of emissions to get you into a newer car. Unless you're failing the actual test required where you live, it might not be worth stressing over.

Hey, but what about the air we all breathe? Even if one truck passes, a bunch of older cars together put out a lot of extra pollution. That stuff adds up in cities and can make it harder for people with asthma to go outside. It's not just about one test, it's about the total smog hanging over a whole area.
