Can we talk about bridge loan rates for a value-add deal?

lol people really overthink this stuff. I mean yeah total cost matters but acting like an extra 50 bps is the end of the world feels a bit dramatic.

Tried the fancy salt trick for my dishwasher and got worse results

Didn't you need to put that salt in a special compartment though?

I switched to a cash envelope system for my fun money and it backfired

It's wild how that same trap shows up everywhere, not just with cash envelopes. I see people doing the same thing with their vacation days at work - they have two weeks left in December and suddenly take random Fridays off just because they're "wasting" them. Or you see it with groceries too, buying stuff before a trip because the fridge is too full and you don't want food to go bad. The whole mindset seems to be about avoiding regret rather than actually wanting something. Cash or time or food, it's all the same pressure to force a decision when you're not really ready for it. Have you noticed that in other parts of your life too?

Vent: took me 5 years to finally give in on parts warranties

Not gonna lie, I kinda think having parts go bad three times in a year is more of an outlier situation than a reason to go all in on warranties. I mean, how often does that really happen? Maybe it's just me but I've had sealed systems hold up for years without paying extra for coverage. Customers get enough sticker shock these days already without adding warranty costs on top of everything.

The grocery clerk who asked if I needed help loading my bags after I insisted I was fine.

Yeah that reminds me of this time I was trying to carry all six bags of mulch into my backyard by myself and my neighbor just stood there watching me struggle for like five minutes before finally going "you know I've got a wheelbarrow right?" Made me realize I'd rather look stubborn than ask for help sometimes.
