Hit a 350-pound deadlift pr but realized my lower back was rounding the whole time

Caught a side view in the gym mirror during rep 4 and saw my spine looked like a cat stretching, now I have to deload and fix my form from scratch, anyone else have a lift that felt strong but was secretly dangerous?

The thing about "feeling strong but was secretly dangerous" really gets me. That lower back rounding is like a ticking time bomb. I've seen so many people chase big numbers and ignore that they're basically turning their spine into a lever. You probably felt strong because your back and hips were working together in a way that let you move the weight, but it's your discs that pay the price later. Better to catch it now than end up with a herniated disc and a six month break from lifting.

How many times have we all seen that guy in the gym pulling 405 with a back like a scared cat? I learned that lesson the hard way when I tweaked my L5 trying to look cool for a video, and it took me forever to walk without wincing. That "feeling strong" is just your body compensating until it can't, and trust me, herniated discs are not worth a PR.
