Unpopular opinion: the 2011 Game 6 Mavs win gets outshined by the Heat collapse
Everyone talks about LeBron's 4th quarter disappearing act in that Dallas series, but nobody gives Dirk credit for those 9 straight points after the Heat cut it to 2 with 3 minutes left. That was the real clutch move, not just Miami crumbling under pressure. Why do we always frame these moments as one team losing instead of the other team actually seizing it?

Stop acting like that Mavs team was just lucky. Dirk hit the biggest shot of his career twice in that last stretch, and the defense forced LeBron into some awful looks. Miami collapsing is part of the story, sure, but calling it just a collapse takes away from what Dallas actually did. They were locked in on every single possession down the stretch. That was a championship being taken, not handed over.
