I was running a 4140 part on our old Haas VF-2 and the coolant line popped off right at the tool change.

The whole thing just soaked the control pendant and I had to shut it down, dry everything with an air hose, and re-run the program from the start, which wasted like 45 minutes of cycle time.

That old VF-2 has a real talent for finding the worst possible moment to spring a leak. Honestly, it's like the machine waits until you're not looking to dump a gallon of coolant right into the electronics. I spent more time blowing water out of the keypad than I did running the part. Tbh, you're lucky it just cost you some cycle time and didn't fry the whole pendant. Those surprise showers are the worst kind of shop maintenance.
