Old timer's feed rate comment fixed my part finish issues

I was fighting chatter on a 6061 part for days, running at 30 IPM and blaming the tooling. This guy walking past said 'your feed's too timid, the cutter ain't cutting, it's rubbing' and told me to double it. I bumped it to 60 IPM and the finish went mirror smooth, has anyone else had a simple speed tweak like that save a whole setup?
