Rant: The whole "tool in the spindle" debate at my shop got heated last week

So I was reading through a machining forum last night and saw a stat that said something like 60% of CNC crashes happen from tools left in the spindle during setups. I did some digging and found that article from a tech school study. That number surprised me because half the guys I work with swear by leaving the tool in to save time changing it out for the next run. The other half say it's lazy and risky. Anyone else have a shop where this is a constant argument?

60 percent is way higher than I would have guessed honestly.
