Watching a guy in Dayton run a 5-axis machine with his phone changed how I think about my old 3-axis setup.
He was literally adjusting a complex contour from across the shop, which made me realize I've been treating my machine like a dumb tool instead of the connected system it could be, so what's one small upgrade you've made to your workflow that felt like a big leap forward?

So you track each tool's life individually?

Never really thought about it until I started logging tool life data in a spreadsheet instead of guessing. Found out one brand of end mills was lasting 40% longer than another on the same material, so I switched. That one little habit saved me more in tool costs than any other change I made in the last year.
