I finally figured out how to keep my pour-over from dripping too fast
Tbh, I just switched to a coarser grind and it made all the difference.

Actually was so sure a super fine grind meant stronger coffee for the longest time. Made the switch to coarser like you said and slowed my pour way down. The coffee went from bitter and gritty to just smooth and clean. Totally changed my morning routine.

Used to be convinced a fine grind was the only way. Thought it made the coffee richer. Tried a coarser grind after reading this. The drip speed got way more controlled. Coffee tastes balanced now, not over-extracted. Really proves how small changes matter.

Adjusting the grind is key, but it's not the only thing that affects drip speed. The way you pour the water has a big impact too. If you pour too fast, the water just rushes through and doesn't soak the grounds well. I learned, honestly, that a slow, steady pour in circles keeps the flow even. Coarser grinds help, but nailing the pour technique makes sure everything extracts right. It's all about finding the balance between grind size and how you pour.
