That cafe owner told me my dark roast was burnt and I switched to medium

I used to think darker meant better until she let me taste their single origin Ethiopian side by side, so now I buy from her roastery in Portland instead of the grocery store, anyone else had a coffee snob change their mind?

My local guy talked me into trying a natural process Costa Rica and now I can't even look at Starbucks the same way. It's wild how one good cup can ruin all the old stuff for you.

Yeah, that 'ruins the old stuff' thing is REAL. I read somewhere that natural process beans have way more fruit flavor because they dry inside the cherry, so once you taste that, the generic stuff tastes like paper. Now I'm ruined too, can't even do the basic blonde roast without thinking about what I'm missing.
