Dropped out to flip burgers, ended up running a food truck. College degree vs grease burns, guess which one paid for my truck
I quit midway through sophomore year at a community college in Tulsa after failing accounting twice. My mom was pissed. I started working at a burger joint making $9 an hour, then a buddy offered me a spot helping on his taco truck on weekends. After 14 months of saving every tip and picking up extra shifts, I had $11k and bought my own used trailer off Craigslist. Now I run it at local farmers markets and events. The business classes I skipped? Learned all that from messing up my first 3 orders of tortillas and watching YouTube videos. Not saying everyone should drop out, but I'm way happier than I was staring at a whiteboard. Anyone else find a weird path that worked out better than the original plan?
