Left college after my Python class told me I'd never be a real coder

Professor said my code was too messy and I should switch majors, so I dropped out and started freelancing on Upwork. Two years later I'm making more than he does and my messy code pays my rent just fine. Anyone else get told they weren't cut out for something and prove them wrong?

Failed an art class in high school and now I can't even draw a stick figure without messing it up.

I took pottery in 10th grade and my clay bowl came out looking like a lopsided ashtray. The teacher said it looked "abstract" which was her nice way of saying it was trash. @wilson.claire, I can't draw a straight line even if you held a ruler for me, so stick figures are out of my league too.
