The week I failed 3 classes and got a job offer on the same Friday

So last spring I was a mess. I skipped like 2 weeks of lectures because I was working doubles at a diner in Akron to pay rent, then boom, midterm grades came out and I had failed all 3 of my gen eds. That Thursday I sat in my car in the parking lot just crying for an hour. But the next day my manager at the diner pulled me aside and said they wanted me to train as shift lead, which was $17 an hour plus tips. I took it and never looked back, but now I'm wondering if anyone else found that dropping out felt like losing a fight and winning a different one at the same time? How did you guys cope with the failure feeling?
