Comic fans who grade every issue are missing the joy of just reading them.

My barber told me he does free haircuts on Sundays just to keep his hands busy. Some people just need to do their craft, even if the money's not the point. Grading cards all day probably feels the same for those guys.

At the national convention last year, a BGS employee said some graders do it for the love of the cards, not the pay. I mean, idk, maybe it's just me but that makes sense if it's their hobby too.
