Took me 6 months to admit I hate weekly pull lists
I kept my pull list at Graham Cracker Comics in Austin for half a year because everyone online swears it's the only way to support shops. Turns out I hated the pressure of picking up books I wasn't excited about anymore. Finally dropped it last month and now I just grab trades or single issues when the mood hits. Anyone else ditch the pull list and feel like a better fan for it, or am I missing something?
Better fan" is doing a lot of heavy lifting there, like you need a medal for making a hobby feel like a part-time job. I dropped mine two years ago and now I only buy what I actually want, which turned out to be way less than my shop's recommended monthly minimum. The only thing I miss is the thrill of seeing a new #1 on the rack, but that's what Free Comic Book Day is for.
