Used to read every comic in one sitting, now I stretch 2 issues over a whole week
I used to burn through a whole stack of floppies in one night, like 6 or 7 issues back to back until my eyes hurt. Then last month I grabbed a coffee at this place in Portland called Rimsky and sat down with just one issue, and something about slowing down made me actually catch stuff I'd been skipping, like background signs and little costume details. Now I read 2 issues max in a week and I flip back through panels more than once. My pull list is smaller too, down to 4 books a month, so I actually look forward to each one instead of treating it like a chore. I don't think I can go back to the binge thing, it all blurred together before. Anyone else switch to reading slower and notice it hit different?
