Bought a $400 backup dive light after a close call in murky water

Honestly, I was working a salvage job in the Mobile River last month and my primary light died right as I was under a wreck. Ngl, having that spare clipped to my harness let me finish the job and get out safe. What's the one piece of gear you've bought that actually saved your butt?

Used to think a backup light was overkill, but mine got me out of a silted-out cave last year.
