My underwater comms unit ate a whole shift before I figured out the issue
Ran a job near Port Angeles last month, shallow pipeline inspection, maybe 20 feet down. My comms kept cutting out every time I moved my head, so I burned through about 4 hours swapping cables and even borrowed a buddy's headset. Turned out it was the chin strap tension pulling the mic boom just enough to trip the voice-activated switch, took me longer to find than the actual dive work. Has anyone else had a dumb gear quirk like that eat half their day before you spotted it?
