Had a client's old office PC start smoking during a dust clean last week
I was in their back office in Springfield, just doing a routine clean on a Dell Optiplex 7010. I pulled the side panel and hit it with the air compressor, like always. A second later, a thin white puff came from near the power supply and the whole thing shut off. I unplugged it right away and found a dust bunny had bridged two pins on the motherboard. Ever have a simple job go sideways that fast? What's your go-to move when you see smoke?
