I finally had a day where every repair I touched went smoothly

Last Thursday was weird. I had 7 machines come in - 3 laptops, 2 desktops, a MacBook, and an old HP all-in-one. Every single one was a simple fix. One had a loose RAM stick, one just needed a drive re-seat, the MacBook had a swollen battery that popped out clean. I was done by 2pm and my shop in Phoenix was dead quiet after. Usually I get at least one cursed machine that fights me for hours. Has anyone else ever had a day like that where everything just worked out right?

Wait, was it 7 machines or was it really 3 laptops, 2 desktops, a MacBook, and an all in one? That adds up to 7, so okay, you got me there. I've had days like that, where everything just clicks, but I've learned to not trust them. In my experience, the universe balances out those smooth days with a string of cursed repairs that take twice as long. You should probably brace yourself for the next week or so, because the repair gods have a weird sense of humor about these things.

Started nodding reading this... had almost the exact same day about two months ago in my shop. Six machines came in, all easy fixes like bad power cords and a broken fan that just needed a swap. I kept waiting for the other shoe to drop, kept checking the back for a cursed laptop, but nothing. Finished everything by lunch and spent the afternoon just cleaning shelves and organizing parts. It felt so wrong that I actually called my buddy to ask if he was messing with me remotely.
